Barrio’s long anticipated opening has arrived at 2466 Fairmount Blvd.  After a ribbon cutting ceremony with Cleveland Heights Mayor Stevens on Tuesday, February 28th the doors opened to show a fun atmosphere with walls covered in black and white murals of  skeletons riding bikes, drinking tequila and just having fun created by artist, Michael McNamara of Tremont.  The casual atmosphere is welcoming and the friendly staff and music inviting.  Barrio’s offers custom designed tacos with your favorite fixing.   Choose from hard or soft, corn or flour, braised beef or spicy, house made Chorizo sausage and on and on.You can select as many or few toppings as you would like.  There are countless Vegan and veggie items to choose from.  A weekend brunch on Saturday and Sundays from 11 am – 3 pm offers special items such as Biscuit & Gravy Bowl, French Toast Bowl and Chick and Waffles.  This is the fourth location in the Cleveland area; other locations are on Prospect in Cleveland, Lakewood, and Tremont.  Hours are Monday – Thursday 4 pm – 2 am; Friday – Sunday 11 am – 2 am.  Happy Hour at the bar is from 4 – 7 pm. Barrios was voted the best restaurant in downtown Cleveland.  Its food truck is available for special events.  The Cedar Fairmount Improvement District and the businesses and professionals in the area are delighted to welcome Barrio’s to Cedar Fairmount and the “Gateway to the Heights:”!
