Jazz Muscians from Cleveland Heights High School To Perform at Nighttown

Thirty-seven jazz musicians from Cleveland Heights High School will play in two ensembles and two combos that will perform from 7-9:30 p.m. March 6 at Nighttown restaurant, 12387 Cedar Road. Nighttown is the only location in Ohio listed among Down Beat magazine’s Best Jazz Clubs in the World. “This is a rare opportunity for our musicians in-training to perform at a popular jazz venue in the community,” Heights High jazz teacher Brett Baker said. “It is also a great opportunity for the community to hear great jazz from up-and-coming musicians.”

Student performers include Brad Alcorn, Emily Brubaker, Seth Boyle, Brittaney Byers, Erick Chapmon, Marissa Cooley, Gretchen Drushel, Cassie Espenschied, Sam Espenschied, Greg Fort, Temple Greenwood, Grant Gulden, Lance Guilford, Aidan Hall, Colin Higgs, Tyonn Holloway, Mike Houdek, Arscola Hudson, Jameel Jackson, Eli Kauffman, Simon Mastri, Tyler Maxey, Brian McCoy, Josh Perelman-Hall, Alex Perlic, Jarrod Robinson, Sean Robinson, Jaren Rose, Kevin Smith, Mark Stroud Jr., Ben Urbas, William Walters, Richard Wilson, Cristian Wdowiak and Ann Zicari.
