Reflection Interior Design Presents Talk at Hillcrest Hospitals Annual Luncheon!

As most of you are aware Reita Bayman retired from Interior Design, leaving Reflections in 2008. Every so often she will visit the studio and it is always such a treat to have her back. This time was no different except she didn’t just come to visit…. Reita was back to work! Earlier in the year Marissa and Reita were asked to present an interior design program for the Hillcrest Hospitals Auxiliary Annual meeting and luncheon. What a pleasure it was to have Reita back in the office sharing her past experiences giving presentations and teaching classes while we prepared for the event.

On June 7th, they attended the luncheon which was a wonderful event put on for the Auxiliary Board of Governors and hospital volunteers for Hillcrest. Once the meeting itself was adjourned, they spoke about the principals of design, how to create inviting spaces and showcased some of our own dramatic before and after photos. Reita fit the bill perfectly as a guest speaker, as before she founded Reflections she was a Registered Nurse. She has really come full circle with her career and the ladies and board member’s enjoyed listening to her speak.

Marissa made sure that the presentation was “user friendly”, a lot of times it is easy to get lost in the design world when you are not part of it as a daily routine. One of the key points they focused on during the program was the design formula Reita created years ago. The volunteers loved our diagram and it really helped them see how it guides you when putting a room together.

In the end they received some great questions and gave some helpful advice to get the volunteers inspired.   Below is a photo of Marissa and Reita at the luncheon showcasing the presentation.
