WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 27 @ 4pm, The Alcazar Kulas Music Room
Great Lakes Theater Festival Education Director, Daniel Hahn, and Playwright David Hansen will preview the one-act drama, THE DARK SIDE OF THE TWILIGHT: Evolution of the Vampire which will premier at The Alcazar February 16th.
It explores the evolution of classic vampire myth over the last two centuries with particular attention to four pivotal pieces of literature: John Polidor’s “The Vampyre,” Bram Stoker’s “Dracula,” Anne Rice’s “Interview With A Vampire,” and Stephanie Meyer’s “Twilight.”
During this informal talk, Mr. Hahn and Mr. Hansen will discuss what impact classic gothic literature has upon contemporary society.

Enjoy the reading of a new play, fiction or poetry and a discussion afterwards, led by its author, on the first Monday of the month at 7pm in the Kulas Music Room, just off the main Lobby. $5 admission at the door.
